Chennadu Granites is located in the eastern part of Kottayam along the hills of eratupetta. It is the leading source of granite building stones across Kottayam and alappuzha districts with ties to various crushers and dealers across the land.
It is an open-cast mine where stones are mined using the method of blasting and are broken into boulders of various sizes for building and retaining wall constructions. Rural development and job opportunities have been created for the local community and have improved quality of life for the workforce.
